NDLI: The Biological Toxicity of Ferrite NanoNi-Zn Materials on Blood and Cells

Abstract	The influences of ferrite nanoNi-Zn powders on blood and cells of rats are studied by biological and physiological methods. The ferrite nanoNi-Zn powders are made by high-tem- perature oxidized method, its size is 50-80nm obtained by Scanning Electron Microscope and X- ray diffraction image . From the experiment we find that the amount of leucocytes in the bloods in the experimental group is considerably large than that in the controlled group (p<<0.05) , but the amount of erythrocytes in the controlled group is considerably high than that in the Experimental group (p<<0.01) . The obvious differences show that the ferrite nanoNi-Zn powders have the evident biological effect and can change the biochemical and general indexes of blood of the rats. We measure and collect the infrared spectra of absorption of hemaglobins in the bloods after injection of ferrite nanoNi-Zn powders and find the variations of the strengths and wavenumbers of peaks in their infrared spectra relative to that in cotrolled group. This shows the molecular structure of hematoglobin changes in such a case. Just so, the above biological effects of ferrite nanoNi-Zn occur.
