NDLI: Dispersion Correction of Bio-Tissue Imaging by Optical Coherence Tomography

Abstract	The resolution of optical coherence tomography is degraded the dispersion of samples, as well as the dispersion introduced by optical structure. Water is taken as sample, and means of data transform process is introduced in compensating dispersion according to optical characteristics of water. The dispersion effect in an image of muscle tissue of mouse is also corrected. In experience, 1550nm optical source and fiber Michelson interferometer are used to get imaging signal from planes under water and muscle tissue of mouse. Data is compensated to the third order optical dispersion of water and rapid scanning optical delay line, and a tunable phase factor is introduced to improve the results of compensation. The results measured in experiments are satisfactory, and the present methods are verified experimentally.
