| Abstract | Summary form only given. A new first harmonic coaxial three-cavity gyroklystron in X-band has been built and tested to verify operation of the test bed. This microwave circuit has demonstrated the high power and high efficiency of our system configuration with the ultimate goal of extending the design of coaxial gyroklystrons to 17.1-34.2 GHz. The designed operating frequency is 8.568 GHz with a pulse width of 2 /spl mu/s and a maximum repetition rate of 2 Hz. The operating beam voltage and beam current for the fundamental circuit are 470 kV and 500 A, respectively. An X-band mechanically-tunable coaxial magnetron (8.5-9.6 GHz, 2 /spl mu/s) provides a maximum input signal of 150 kW. The preliminary experimental results showed that an output peak power of 85 MW with an efficiency over 35% can been obtained from this coaxial three-cavity gyroklystron. The details of the design parameters and experimental results of this X-band gyroklystron will be presented. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
