| Abstract | Summary form only given. The study of underwater electrical explosion (UEE) plasma channel thermodynamic characteristics, using theoretical approaches on medium state and high-density nonideal low-temperature plasma kinetics, is a complicated scientific problem which is important for various applications. The author has worked out an original method for experimentally obtaining the time dependence of UEE plasma pressure over a wide range of discharge circuit parameters. Electrical explosion is realized in the pivot-plane electrode unit. At this, the positive pivot electrode is an optically active sensor that allows to use the dynamical photostrength principles. The issues of techniques and accuracy of the measurements carried out and the demands on polarizable active sensor material are considered. Experimental results agree well with known notions on discharge channel dynamics. Influence of the energy input mode on plasma pressure temporal dependences is shown. Correlations for plasma pressure, temperature, density, electrical and heat conductivity during the first half period of the discharge current are obtained, including their spatial distributions in the discharge channel. |

It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
