Abstract	Based on the mass customization for manufacturing, the mass customization for knowledge production is put forward with high-speeding development of network technology, and it has been studied fundamentally. This study focus on the cost of mass customization for knowledge production, as it is the chiefly problem to be considered for the knowledge production enterprises to get maximal profits. Firstly, the basic thought of the mass customization mode for knowledge production is introduced, and its operation mode is analyzed. Then, the related characteristics are discussed, where the stochastic and dynamic features are pointed out, and the objectives and constraints are explained. Subsequently, the cost model is set up based on the former analysis. Finally, the meaning of the mathematical model is analyzed.
