| Abstract | A novel fiber—optic differential pressure sensor is designed and theoretically analyzed in this paper. Symmetrical structure between standard cavity and measured cavity is adopted in this sensor, the electro-optic Q-switched laser is used to produce mixed light by extra cavity double frequency,and this mixed light induce plasma to process the µm microchannels which position the emergent fibre and incident fibre. the output signal of the cavities is processed by the signal processing section. The relations between the pressure in cavity and film deformation or the output light intensity are theoretical analyzed, then the mathematical models are established. The relations of Iout/Iin and film distance d, pressure of detection cavity P, pressure of standard cavity P are obtained through a lot of experiments. The results indicated that with the pressure of measured cavity increasing, the value of Iout/Iin decreases, and the Iout/Iin value of standard cavity tends to stable. Through calculating the two values, the sensor can achieve the active measurement of relatively pressure between standard and measured cavity. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
