| Abstract | Piston wind have a great impact on thermal environment of subway platform, using cooling damping wind can control piston wind ingress and improve heat environment. Cross-jet flow theory is used to analyze piston wind control by cooling damping wind and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method are adopted in this paper. Different angle and height of nozzle are simulated. The angle of the air supply of cooling damping wind is adjusted to vertical 90° and 45° opposite to the velocity of the piston wind, respectively. A pipe of 0.5m is added under the jet vent to reduce cooling damping wind speed decay. The temperature distribution and velocity of the platform are selected analysis. Through analyzing and comparing with the simulation results, The optimal way of control postion wind is gained and piston wind influened are decreased to some extent. National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
