| Abstract | Narrow-band microstrip hairpin-type filters are designed for wireless-communication applications. We have fabricated the high-T/sub c/ superconducting filters by patterning YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub y/ (YBCO) films deposited on 10-mm-square and 20-mm-square, 0.6-mm-thick LaAlO/sub 3/ substrates. The form of hairpin-resonator band-pass filter can be thought of as an alternative version of parallel-couple-resonator filter, except that the open-circuited ends of the resonator are folded back. Our 3-pole 10-mm-square filter has a 2.5-dB maximum insertion loss and 16 MHz bandwidth at 1.94 GHz, while 3-pole 20-mm-square filter has a 0.45-dB maximum insertion loss and 30 MHz bandwidth at 1.94 GHz both with the air-gap height of 3 mm. By mechanically changing the height of air gap between the filter pattern and the top housing plane, the center of frequency of the filter was varied from 1.92 to 2.0 GHz, corresponding to a frequency shift of about 5%. The influences of wafer sizes and housing height on filter performance are discussed. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
