Description	This is a handwritten field notes diary ('Kheror Khata') or Shooting Script of Satyajit Ray's short documentary film 'Sikkim'.
Abstract	'Sikkim' is a documentary about the nation of Sikkim. The documentary was commissioned by the king of Sikkim at a time when he felt the sovereignty of Sikkim was under threat from both China and India. The film was banned by the government of India, when Sikkim merged with India in 1975. The film is informative and gives an overview on the sovereignty of Sikkim. Amidst a lot of controversies, this was finally screened at a film festival at Kolkata in Nandan in Nov 2010. People flocked to the theatre to watch the screening of this movie. Unfortunately, the film was removed after a single show, as a Sikkim court ordered a stay on the screening of this documentary. Since the film has not reached the masses, this makes the shooting script a rare find. Ray's extensive field research and shot-by-shot treatment of the film in this script, makes it a compelling read for film buffs.
