Abstract	The ideological and political education in American army troops is typical in western developed countries to some extent. They stand out values education, pay attention to socialization and legalization of the education and emphasize the approaches to material encouragement, which enlightens our army to widen the thought of ideological and political education work. The ideological and political education in army troops generally refers to an education in which each country's army troops cultivate the soldiers' quality required to perform the duty in an organized and planned manner according to the requirements of the government and ruling party in their own country. Ideological and political education in army troops is the important resources to maintain great morale and vigorous combat effectiveness. As a representative army troops in the whole world currently, in order to raise combat effectiveness, American army troops also pay attention to ideological and political education work. And some of their practices are worth using for our army troops' reference
