| Abstract | For the double-circuit transmission line, there exist electrostatic coupling and electromagnetic coupling between the two lines. If one-circuit failure, it will affect the other single-circuit normal operation. So it is essential to deeply study the influencing characteristics between double circuits. In the paper, take Xiluodu-Guangdong c double-circuit transmission line as an example, using ATP/EMTP, study the influencing characteristics between the double circuits and over-voltage at the converter station DC side. The research shown that, for the double-circuit, if one-circuit failure, it has the same over-voltage characteristic as its single-circuit HVDC; and it affects the other single-circuit operation. And for one-circuit faulty, it has two types: one is faulting at bipolar of single-circuit, and the other is faulting at polar of single-circuit. The latter fault brings more serious impact on the other single-circuit. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
