NDLI: The Study of Landscape Visual Impact Assessment in Mountain Tourism Area

Abstract	With the breadth and depth of tourism resources development, the study of landscape protection and landscape planning has increasingly been focused on. This paper uses geographic information technology and virtual reality technology, takes small-scale mountain tourism area for example, proposes method of the cumulative viewshed analysis to study the landscape visual impact assessment of Qixing Lake and the surrounding natural landscape which is the only mountain lake in National Forest Park, Guangdong Nankun Mountain based on temporal database of the landscape resources distribution. In the study, it compares the difference of the lake and the surrounding visual landscape sensitivity in wet and dry season, then gets assessment of landscape visual sensitivity of the surrounding area of the lake. It overlays all the sight spots around the lake to analyze the sensitivity on this basis and then gets the result of 8 the highest water-related sensitivity spots. They are Gold Top, Riyue Island, Lanfen, Gujing Fall, Qixing Lake Station, Zhu ye xi sheng, Meilong Fall, Tomb. It calculates the distribution and area of the lake landscape from these points. Based on the cumulative viewshed analysis of these sight spots, it gets visual sensitivity evaluation of lake landscape. The result of lake and surrounding landscape visual impact assessment will provide scientific basis and evidence for water area planning and development, optimization of the lake travelling route and promoting the protection and restoration of the surrounding landscape, so as to promote the use of mountain tourism resources reasonable and sustainable.
