Abstract	With the development of high-energy laser technology, its performance in applications is impacted not only by the beam quality itself, but also by various domino effects occurring during laser transmission in atmosphere, such as atmospheric attenuation and atmospheric turbulence effects which include beam drift, beam spreading, intensity fluctuation and so on. Research on the characteristics of laser transmission in the atmosphere is significant to provide fundamental basis for the application of high-energy laser technology. This paper mainly focuses on some domino effects in the process of high-energy laser technology application. According to the randomness and regionality of the atmosphere, the energy loss law of high-energy laser transmitted in the atmosphere in different distance is simulated and analyzed, which can provide the fundamental basis for high-energy laser designing and manufacturing.
