NDLI: Simulation analysis of entropy generation of externally sweeping across tube hanks

Abstract	Using heat and flow governing equation , taking forced-convection heat transfer of in-line hank of tubes as research object, the paper analyzed the entropy generation distribution and discussed the entropy generation's changing relationship with the Re from 1.0 × $10^{4}$ to 10 × $10^{4}$ and the $S_{1}/d$ $(S_{2}/d)$ from 1.25 to 2.0. The results indicated that: the entropy generation mainly generated near the surface of the hank of tubes; The area weighted average $S_{gen}$ varies with Re in exponent function, and Re is the major impact factor of $S_{gen};$ with increase of Re , The area weighted average of Irreversible entropy generation flow $N_{TH}$ diminished. The proportion of the area weighted average of heat transfer entropy generation $N_{FFI}$ in $S_{gen}$ rising rapidly, when Re > 4.0 × $10^{4},$ the heat and entropy production can be ignored.
