| Abstract | This paper discusses the regional pole placement problem for Markovian jump system, and the corresponding application on wind turbine generator system (WTGS). Through sampling the low-frequency wind speed datas into separate intervals, the dynamic process of WTGS can be modelled into Markovian jump system. The traditional operating points of wind turbine are divided into separate subregions correspondingly, where the model parameters and the control mode can be fixed in each mode. However, the control designed for each operating subregion can not guarantee the whole dynamic response performance of WTGS, which is caused by the stochastic switchings between different system modes. Hence, the pole placement problem is discussed for linear Markovian jump systems, and applied on improving the dynamics response of WTGS. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
