NDLI: Evaluating the Peach Export Competitiveness of Hebei Province Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process

Abstract	It is of great importance to enhance the agricultural product export competitiveness in modern agricultural development. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a novel algorithm to evaluate the peach export competitiveness of Hebei province using Analytic Hierarchy Process. Firstly, the index system for the this problem is design, which is made up of 1) Revealed comparative advantage, 2) Market shares, 3)Trade competitiveness index, and 4) Export rise advantage index. Secondly, peach export competitiveness algorithm exploiting Analytic Hierarchy Process is illustrated. To calculate the weight of each index, an overall object is located on the top level, and the criteria in the middle level denotes an overall object. To evaluate the performane of our algorithm, experiments are conducted using a dataset which is collected from Hebei Statistical yearbook (2001-2010). Experiments results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively evaluate the export competitiveness of peach in Hebei.
