Abstract | The computing precision of parameters for cold rolling influences the quality of steel strip heavily. Based on the rolling force model, rollers gap model and the model for radius of bend roll, the frame of all models above was built stimulating the real computer system in office excel. First adjusting the distortion force parameters and then adjusting the parameters of friction coefficient, it made the adaptive coefficient of rolling force equaling to 1.0. Also the rolling force formula was used to deduct friction coefficient model backward. With the real data collected and the debugging tool, the parameters of distortion force and friction coefficient were computed for various steel strips, the results were be used to afford the important reference data for real rolling parameters to the aim of improving the quality of cold rolling strip. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
