| Abstract | Pulse diagnosis is one of important diagnosis methods in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). From a hemodynamic point of view, the arterial pulsation comes from the beating of the heart. So it is necessary to analyze these TCM pulse waveforms by hemodynamic methods. A hemodynamics method is used to calculate the pulse waveform velocity (PWV) and pulse reflection factor (Rf), which reflects the arterial elastic characteristic. Relevance between PWV, Rf and time-domain parameters of pulses is analyzed in this study. The result shows there is a positively correlated correlation between PWV and w/t with statistical significance. There is a positively correlated correlation between Rf and h3/h1 with statistical significance too. It is concluded that the time-domain parameter w/t can reflect the pulse wave velocity and h3/h1 can reflect the intensity of reflection wave. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
