Abstract	External field Mossbauer spectroscopy for La/sub 1/3/Sr/sub 2/3/FeO/sub 3-y/ is performed to see how the external magnetic field affects the charge disproportionation (CD) state above its transition temperature. The polycrystalline La/sub 1/3/Sr/sub 2/3/FeO/sub 3-y/ is prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction method. Hopping of an electron between neighboring Fe ions occurs in such a way that the hyperfine magnetic field at the /sup 57/Fe nucleus average out to zero. The thermally generated hopping of delocalized carriers is not influenced by the application of magnetic field. The magnetic moment and magnetic Zeeman component of the sample are also discussed.
