Abstract	It is previously demonstrated that modulation bandwidth of semiconductor lasers can be enhanced by modulating the master laser in an optical injection locking (OIL) system [1]. Semiconductor ring laser (SRL) is a promising device for integrated OIL configuration, as the SRL operates only in the direction receiving injection, therefore does not feedback into the master laser [2]. In this paper we report bandwidth enhancement of SRL to ≫20GHz in a master-slave OIL configuration with the SRL as the slave laser.
