| Abstract | The nonlinear dynamics model is established by using Newton - Euler method, and the action of wind on the airship is taken into consideration. The effect of wind on the dynamics of the airship is investigated, including the influence of steady wind on the flight trajectory, and the wind shear on the dynamic response of the airship. The optimal ascending trajectory is designed to perceive the anti-wind ability of the airship. One active anti-wind guidance strategy is proposed to achieve accurately trajectory tracking. The results show that: the primary effects of the wind on the airship include the variation of dynamic pressure and the external forces generated from the wind movement. The steady wind have a great impact on the ascending and descending trajectories, and the vertical wind shear will effects the attitude response of airship. The optimal trajectories in ascending and descending can be generated by using numerical optimal methods under various wind fields. The proposed active anti-wind guidance strategy can perform more accurately trajectory tracking under the measured wind field. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
