Abstract	Based on mesomechanics of concrete, the big recycled aggregate-filled Concrete is regarded as a type of three-phase composite heterogenous material composed of big recycled aggregate, self-compacted concrete and interfacial transition zone(ITZ). Random aggregate model is employed to stand for microscopic structure of big recycled aggregate-filled concrete. Uniaxial compression process is simulated by using finite element method and uniaxial compression numerical simulation results are in good agreement with corresponding experimental results. The results show that the most of destruction of the specimens occurs in the ITZ between self-compacted concrete and big recycled aggregate, and discarded bricks are not suitable to produce big recycled aggregate-filled concrete with high-strength.
