NDLI: Analyses on coupling correlation between landslides and rainfall and application in the early-warning and forecast

Abstract	Historical data of rainfall and region landslides in ShenZhen are researched in detail in this paper. And the partial correlation between landslides and rainfall, the correlation between landslides and rainfall intensity, and the correlation between landslide and rainfall season are analyzed. The results show: First, the partial correlation coefficient is highly between landslide action and the two days rainfall, and the sum of one rainfall. It means that the region landslides will appear when the rainfall is up to some numerical value. Second, the correlation between rainstorm and landslide is very intimate, and the correlation coefficient is beyond 0.85, especially the heavy rainstorm and the extraordinary rainstorm. They can straightly make the landslides occur. Third, the occurring time of landslides is correspond to the rainfall season, the more rainfall is, the more landslide number is. In addition, the occurring time of landslides accords with or lags behind rainstorm and heavy rainstorm, but the lagged time is less four days, and the landslides popularly arises at the same day and the second day when the rainstorm takes place.
