Abstract	There are many sorts of process knowledge and representation methods, ontology could be used here to share and reuse of knowledge. Three tiers of process knowledge ontology were presented in this paper. The concepts related with process knowledge and their tier relations were specified explicitly. By examples, the extraction of concept from process knowledge was illustrated; modeling and OWL representation of process knowledge ontology were explained also. Requirement of process knowledge in different stage of process planning was presented. Based on the research above, ontology could be used to play an important role in process knowledge query. At last, the framework and development method of process knowledge management system was introduced; the system was based on ontology.
