| Abstract | We suggest an object oriented modeling procedure and its language for business process modeling, OOBIS (Object Oriented Approach to Business Process Redesign and IS Requirement Analysis). OOBIS aims to provide a practical object-oriented procedure for business process redesign, which takes full advantages of existing useful modeling languages. We adopt many useful diagrams and concepts from many prior methodologies. One distinctive feature of OOBIS is that it is an incremental modeling by means of object classification. In OOBIS, objects are classified into three categories: active, static, and information system object. OOBIS also defines stages and activities for incremental modeling of objects. Three kinds of process maps are used as the main tool of OOBIS: active object process map (AO map), business object process map (BO map), an business object and information system object process map (BOIS map). At the first stage of analysis, active objects in the business process are captured using the AO map. Next, BO map is constructed with business objects, which includes both active and static objects. Finally, information system objects are defined and CO map emerges as the redesigned business process. We give an overview of OOBIS, summarize some baseline principles of OOBIS, give a brief definition of OOBIS terminology, and give the procedure for OOBIS. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
