| Abstract | espanolEn este articulo se parte de la necesidad de aclarar las diferencias entre la formacion del profesorado para el uso de las TIC o lo que se ha dado en llamar “competencia digital”, y lo que deberia ser su formacion en educacion mediatica. Se pone de manifiesto que, para abordar la capacitacion profesional de los educadores, y mas concretamente la formacion inicial del profesorado en educacion mediatica, urge precisar conceptos, no caer en reduccionismos y definir planes concretos que puedan llevarse a cabo. Se ofrece un modelo de Didactica de la Educacion Mediatica con cinco grandes bloques tematicos: 1.- Alfabetizacion multiple en la era digital; 2.- Medios y entornos digitales como agentes de educacion informal; 3.- Integracion curricular de los medios y tecnologias digitales como recursos didacticos; 4.- Integracion curricular de TIC y medios como objeto de estudio. Educacion mediatica en la ensenanza formal; 5.- La educacion mediatica en la ensenanza universitaria y en la formacion inicial del profesorado. EnglishThis article is based on the need to clarify the differences between teacher training in the use of ICT (the so-called digital competence) and what teachers training in media education should be. We argue that, in order to address professional training for educators and, more specifically, the initial training of teachers in media education, it is imperative to clarify concepts, not to lapse into reductionism and to design specific plans that can be carried out. We propose a model of media education teaching and learning including five major thematic areas: 1. Multiple literacy in the digital age; 2. Media and digital environments as informal education agents; 3. Integration of media and digital technologies in the curriculum as teaching resources; 4. Integration of ICT and media in the curriculum as subjects of study. Media education teaching; 5. Media education at university and initial teacher training. |
