| Abstract | As tecnologias de informacao e comunicacao (TIC) abrem importantes possibilidades para a aprendizagem de Matematica. Para tanto, e essencial que os professores tenham oportunidades para se prepararem. Considerando que a formacao de professores de Matematica e um processo continuo, foi elaborada uma proposta de formacao continuada, para os professores recem formados da licenciatura em Matematica do Instituto Federal de Educacao, Ciencia e Tecnologia Fluminense (IF Fluminense), no inicio de sua pratica docente. A proposta foi denominada T-PROIM – Tecnologias na Pratica docente de pROfessores Iniciantes de Matematica. Uma rede social na Internet (RSI) foi implementada por meio da plataforma Elgg para apoiar a formacao T-PROIM. Essa visou incentivar a integracao das TIC a pratica docente e fundamentou-se na teoria socio-historica. A pesquisa foi de carater qualitativo por meio de um estudo de caso. As tecnicas de coleta de dados foram questionario, entrevistas, observacao e registro dos conteudos postados na RSI. A analise dos dados sinalizou que a flexibilidade da formacao e da configuracao de recursos RSI pelos professores foi importante para o contexto educacional, pois permitiu atender a particularidades de cada professor e de seu contexto docente. A possibilidade de compartilhar informacoes criou um espaco menos formal para contexto educacional que serviu como motivacao para as atividades formais. Alem disso, a analise dos dados possibilitou identificar dimensoes do capital social nas atividades presenciais e nos conteudos postados na rede. Essas dimensoes contribuiram para aumentar a confianca no uso pedagogico das TIC e promover o desenvolvimento pessoal, social e cognitivo dos professores. Em sintese, a formacao T-PROIM influenciou a pratica docente dos professores. -- Palavras-chave: Redes Sociais na Internet, Formacao de Professores, Personal Learning Environments, Plataforma Elgg. -- ABSTRACT: Information and communication technologies (ICT) open up important possibilities for the learning of Maths. Thus, it is essential that teachers have the opportunity to be trained in their use. Taking into consideration that teachers’ education is a continuous process, a continuing education program was designed for recently-graduated students of Mathematics at IF Fluminense, Brazil, as they begin their professional practice. This proposal was called T-PROIM – Technologies in the Teaching Practice of Beginner Teachers of Mathematics. A Social Network on the Internet (ISN) was implemented on the Elgg platform to support T-PROIM. This network aimed at integrating ICT to teaching activities, and is based on the social-historical theory, in particular, on the importance of the social context and mediation in the development of high-order mental processes. The qualitative study was carried out as a case study, in which data were collected by means of questionnaires, interviews, observation and register of contents posted on the ISN. Design flexibility and resource configuration of the ISN by the teachers themselves was considered an important educational feature, since it could cater for individual needs and teaching environment. The possibility of sharing information created a less formal educational space which, in turn, was a motivation for more formal activities. Analysis of results also allowed for the identification of social capital dimensions in traditional activities and of contents posted in the network. Such dimensions contributed to raise self-confidence towards the pedagogical use of ICT, and to promote personal, social, and cognitive development of the teachers involved in the research. -- Keywords: Internet Social Networks, Teacher Education, Personal Learning Environments, Elgg plataform. -- Para citar este texto: Barcelos, G.
