Effect of a 2-days training on teachers' (mis-)conceptions of randomness and probability We present a two-fold study on in-service mathematics and science teachers. In a first experiment, conceptions of randomness is investigated, and the question of a possible effect of a short (2-days) training in probability is addressed. In a second pre-test post-test experiment, we analyse the long-term effect of the short training on four biases. We conclude by suggesting some possible remediations. Keywords: subjective probability, probabilistic bias, randomness. |
