Abstract	The paper aims to present an improved methodology of safety assessment with system simulation. In this paper, the Monte Carlo simulation and uncertainty analysis will be applied to the research of FMECA which is the basis of safety assessment. The improved methodology will overcome the shortages of traditional method. At the same time, the idea of the method will provide a comprehensive safety analysis of the system. At last of the paper, an application case about the safety assessment of the control system in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) will be set up as typical example to demonstrate the application of the methodology.
