Abstract	A new low voltage, low power and variable conversion gain mixer based on single balanced cell in a 0.18µm CMOS process for 2.4GHz wireless LAN applications is presented in this paper. The proposed mixer of large tuning gain range (14.5∼24.2dB) is implemented by incorporating the RF body bias control technique, the LO body bias control technique and the RF leakage-less current bleeding technique. The designed mixer achieves measured conversion gain of 14.5dB and IIP3 of − 11dBm under consuming power of 2mW from 0.8V supply voltage. The chip size including pads is 0.98mm×0.95mm.
