| Abstract | Some call it low power-design, some call it energy efficient design, and some call it green design. No matter what you call it, in today's complex systems and chips, power management, analysis, and exploration needs to be addressed early in the design cycle. To meet the overall power demands semiconductor designers and architects need to step up and deliver systems and chips that are "lean" and "green". Devices should be as small in form as possible, offer greater performance and lower overall power consumption. Design teams need power aware solutions and methods that enable them to intelligently identify peaks and analyze power consumption to make necessary trade-offs. Today's designs (as past designs) require higher performance, smaller geometries and greater complexity. Two new dimensions are becoming more important than ever: power budget and re-use. On one side, designers are being pressed to make micro-architectural power decisions and run power analysis and exploration early. On the other side, they need to get accurate power budget estimation taking in consideration both hardware and software with tight link to implementation. This panel will bring together experts discussing varying methods and solutions addressing the many power challenges SoC designers and chip architects are facing today. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
