Abstract	Accreditation is the foundation of an institution's reputation. Accreditation is required if an institution and its students are to receive many forms of U.S. federal financial aid. It is not a trivial matter or a luxury; it is all but a necessary condition for the survival of an institution of higher learning in the United States. During the accreditation or reaccreditation process many institutions receive recommendations or findings related to faculty qualifications. The issue becomes even more problematic when the institution offers degrees in emerging disciplines for which there is not a sufficient pool of qualified faculty candidates with respective terminal degrees. The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is one such institution that faces this challenge. As SCAD approached a five-year reaffirmation of accreditation event it became clear that a better methodology for documenting faculty qualifications was desired. A quick market survey uncovered no commercially available products that address this need. The SCAD solution was to create an online system that documents faculty qualifications down to the course learning outcome level for each and every course the professor was to teach. This paper will cover the challenges involved in designing, building, and implementing what we believe is the most comprehensive and academically rigorous application of its type in existence today.
