| Description | Although birth centenary celebrations of Dr. B R Ambedkar also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, a scholar, economist, modernist political thinker, unparalleled leader of Indias depressed classes and chief architect of free Indias Constitution was celebrated all throughout the country including Assam, the editor of the book Sri Nilamoni Das feels that whatever has been written on this great son of India, seems to be less comparing to his contributions to the country and its society. The book is therefore a compilation of several articles on Dr. B R Ambedkar, his ideals, philosophy, his embracing of Buddhism in 1956 and contributions that he made to the Indian society. The book has three sections: the first section is named as Dr. Ambedkar and has four articles on his ideals, philosophy, Dalits etc. The second section is named as Dr. Ambedkar aru Bharatiyo Sangbidhan and has three articles related to his seminal contributions towards the Constitution of India. The third section is entitled Bharatiyo Sangbidhan aru Ami and has four articles. Articles in this section are mostly related to the socio-economic life of the Scheduled Castes, the economic situation of the Scheduled Castes fishing community of Assam etc. The book comprises of articles written in both Assamese and English language and gives the reader a lens to look into the life and works of Dr. B R Ambedkar which has privileged the world to ingress into the world of Dalits and their social and political aspirations. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
