| Description | The increased activities of left wing extremism in the state have thwarted manydevelopmental interventions during the past couple of years. Continuous unrest dueto the left wing extremist activities has increased owes and sufferings of the people in thearea. This has led the Central Government as well as the State Government to rethink the developmental process going on in the area and a concept of Integrated Action Plan (IAP)was conceived during the 17th Five Year Plan. Presently this idea is being implemented in 82LWE affected districts of the country. In Odisha the IAP is being implemented in 18 LWE affected districts to gear up the process of infrastructural development in the area andthereby to create a base for sustainable income for the affected people of the districts. Formulation of different plans for IAP needs a broad data base. In order to cater this needthis institute made a noble attempt to create an updated data base for the region in a bookform on various major indicators of development such as, its vital statistics on the basis of2011Census, agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, social security programmes etc. These statistical information are expected to be guiding tools for policy formulation forthese districts. Sincere efforts are made by the officials of this institute to get the data fromvarious authentic sources and attempts have been made to ensure correctness of data. Thebook has been compiled meticulously and any error found may have been unintentionaland clerical.Hopefully, this statistical handbook on IAP districts of Odisha will be of immense help forresearchers, academicians, planners and administrators. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources.
