| Abstract | The society and development of the Cuban university claim for pro-active and innovative transformations of the university management that contribute to the increase in quality standards of higher education demanded by the economic and social policy approved by the Cuban Communist Party 7th Congress. The lack in development and in the present demands, as well as the social and institutional advancement perspectives, have evidenced the limitations of the economic-financial management in Cuban universities. Consequently, the present work characterizes the improvement of the economic activity in the institutions´ network ascribed to the Ministry of Higher Education, whose economic-financial management model, in the process of consolidation, adapts itself to the established conditions. |
