Abstract	En el articulo se caracteriza el proceso de vinculacion con la sociedad en la formacion de profesionales universitarios, asi como la evaluacion que de esta vinculacion se realiza en las Instituciones de Educacion Superior. Finalmente se constatan las limitaciones, que en el desempeno de los estudiantes universitarios, se ponen de manifiesto durante la vinculacion con la sociedad. RELEVANCE OF THE PROCESS OF INVOLVEMENT WITH SOCIETY IN PROFESSIONAL FORMATION IN ECUADORIAN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS ABSTRACT In the article the process of linking with society in the training of university professionals and the evaluation of this linkage is made in the Institutions of Higher Education is characterized.
