| Abstract | Many medicines that were found on the market are the combination of one or more active substance, such as antidiabetic. Therefore difficulty appears for analayzing level of each component in mixture that its spectrum is hidden in big spectrum form that overlap each other. This research was aimed to determine mixture level of metformine and glibenclamide in tablet by ultraviolet spectrophotometry with multiwavelength method. This research was done by taking sample on purposive. Determine amount of metformine and glibenclamide by ultraviolet spectrophotometry with multiwavelength method, it has done by some steps such as deciding absorption spectrum, wavelengths specified five-point analysis, the value of the absorption type (a). then calculate levels using matrix operations. The results of research shown that the level mixture of metformine in tablet G ® in methanol solvent that were analyzed are (104.655 ± 0.4377) % and glibenclamide are (100.256 ± 0.9069) % and this method has good accuracy for metformine, it shown by its range between (104.65 – 105.09)% and glibenclamide are between (100.256 – 101.16) % and also has a good precision with coefficient of variation (%CV) is 0.2628 % and glibenclamide is 0.3641%. The result showed that amount of metformine and glibenclamide in tablet was fulfilled common requirement of Indonesia Pharmacopoeia V edition (2014). |
