Abstract	The work consists in studying how BPM can contribute to the export process of oil exploration equipment of a petrochemical company through failure analysis, root-cause identification and improvement propositions. The business process modeling notation BPMN and the Current Reality Tree (CRT) of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) are used to analyze the process and identify root-causes. Firstly, a literature review of BPM and process modeling was done, which made it possible to define the objectives of this work. From the definition of the objectives, the literature review of the Theory of Constraints, the Tree of Current Reality and two of the quality tools: Pareto Diagram and Histogram was made. After studying the theoretical information of the mentioned concepts, the study resumes in the organization's export cell. The histogram provides verification of the existence and severity of the problem by analyzing the frequency of delayed export orders. BPMN modeling allows documenting processes from information gathering and modeling to help visualize problems in the flow of activities. During the data gathering, the problems perceived by employees in the execution of their activities are also obtained. The problems identified during the modeling and reported by the collaborators allow the creation of the CRT to obtain the failure root-causes of the export process. Finally, this work concludes by proposing improvements to the process having, as main objectives, the elimination of the root causes and the guarantee that continuous improvement practices are followed, besides answering the research question and reaching the objectives of the study.
