| Abstract | We seek, in the current education, training students that encompasses their cognitive learning, social and emotional. Therefore, faced with the importance of storytelling in this learning process, taking into account that, listening to stories, the child becomes able to interpret the various ways of viewing the world. The aim of this study is to verify the contribution of storytelling in the learning process of children and how this activity is seen by teachers in the modern world. Thus, participant observations were carried out in two different classes with children aged 5-7 years, and interviews with four teachers who work with children in the same age group. The results affirm the importance of storytelling pointing their contributions, given that it is a process facilitator and necessary for learning and development of children. keywords: Storytelling, learning process, children. |
