| Abstract | A Laboratory Module with Frequency Converter for the Control Pumping System and Determination of Energy Savings has been designed and constructed. Laboratory Module was built with stainless steel, and the constituent elements used in it are Frequency Converter SIEMENS G110, LOGO Intelligent Relay, elements of short circuit protection, emergency stop system, and submersible pump. This study has as main goals the following: to design and build module with Frequency Converter for the control pumping system and to determine the energy savings. To know which are the structure and characteristics of Frequency Converter. To check that the application of a Frequency Converter to a pumping system, energy savings is achieved. For this research work, the methodology was developed through the programming of LOGO Intelligent Relay, which will allow controlling the Frequency Converter and through it to the Pumping System operating manual and automatic controls. In the functional tests are performed two rates starts Pumping System that will enable to appreciate the performance the submersible pumps working on starts up direct and subsequently controlled by a Frequency Converter. To determine energy savings is used a Three-phase Energy Meter, which will allow establishing the energy consumption difference between the two ways of operation, by means of connection to the pumping system and make the starts up direct and starts controlled by Frequency Converter over a period, then, it was obtained as a result a considerable savings in energy consumption. In conclusion, the frequency converter of the pump motor gain economic benefits for enterprises, which apply it, Frequency Converter must hand by personnel with deep knowledge about it. |
