| Abstract | Virtual learning environments are configured as a valuable tool in teacher training, showing themselves as innovative scenarios that are gradually transforming traditional education. The research carried out was aimed at determining the extent to which online training contributes to improving the pedagogical practices of the teachers of the Educational Unit "Guaranda 43". Descriptive research was applied considering the survey as a data collection technique. In rural areas, access to technological resources is poor. Teachers do not demonstrate autonomy or self-regulation in the processes of continuous training, and they are not trained frequently. Digital illiteracy, the lack of technological and economic resources, the limited supply of continuing education courses and demotivation are factors that prevent teacher professionalization as a fundamental axis in the improvement of teaching-learning processes. |
