| Abstract | A student close to graduating and is in the last half of his career, a few steps to become a professional Social Communication, must ensure its powers of production in the labor market in written communication, giving value to the clarity, coherence and cohesion to issue a written text understandable without generating doubts in the reader, assessing the ability of mastery of the written word in what it produces. CEAACES processes require managers of quality education, competent professionals in written communication. However, it was necessary to check whether students and teachers aim of this study showed inefficiencies and difficulties in written communication that limit them to express in writing what you want to communicate, such as drafting problems, knowledge of grammar rules and writing of journalistic texts. To check this, a survey of qualitative and quantitative approach to these skills was applied to students and teachers of the seventh semester of the Faculty of Social Communication (FACSO) of the University of Guayaquil. The University has fourth-level teachers, as well as a "Review of General Competence (RGC)" on reading comprehension and writing; however, the need to propose the structuring of a training module for continuing education in written communication, strengthen teachers and students in the competencies identified above. |
