| Abstract | The following research project is assigned to line of research in the Faculty of Education, Language and Communication of Educational Sciences at La Salle University. This project had the purpose of giving a significant contribution to the development of critical reading skills in the classrooms of the Kennedy and Orlando Fals Borda District schools, generating a teaching strategy for critical reading in animated series with primary school children. In order to achieve the objectives of this research project, the qualitative, descriptive explanatory approach was chosen in a critical perspective. To start with, a diagnostic survey was applied to 317 teachers of Social Sciences and Spanish from different parts of Bogota called localities. Afterwards in-depth interviews were conducted with two Spanish teachers, one Social teacher, an expert in animated series and one in media critical reading. To keep in mind, observations were made to the two teachers of Spanish and the social one, for that step, a documentary analysis was made. A content analysis method as well as the information distillation from the model and the information triangulation technique was selected for the information |
