| Abstract | El presente estudio ofrece una concepcion teorica referente a la formacion de las competencias investigativas del estudiante de laboratorio clinico. Como metodologia general, se realizo un analisis critico y argumentado en el contexto de la profesion, referente a la importancia de la investigacion cientifica, en el proceso de ensenanza y aprendizaje, conceptualizada esta, como el “proceso esencial” para la formacion de las competencias investigativas. Se propone que el proceso de ensenanza y aprendizaje debe ser desarrollado desde el enfoque de formacion basado en competencias; en la cual los saberes de los procesos basicos de la profesion, vinculados con el proceso de investigacion cientifica, resulten fundamentales para la identificacion y la solucion de los problemas profesionales, como indicadores del desempeno investigativo idoneo del estudiante, y de la formacion de las competencias investigativas. THE STUDENTS RESEARCH COMPETENCES IN THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS ABSTRACT The present study offers a new theoretical conception concerning the formation of the student's research skills clinical laboratory. As a general methodology, we conducted a critical analysis and argumentative in the context of the profession concerning the importance of scientific research in the teaching and learning process, conceptualized this as the "core process" for skills training investigation. It is argued that the teaching and learning process should be developed from the focus of competency-based training, in which the knowledge of the basic processes of the profession, linked to the scientific research process, essential in order to identify and have the solution of the professional problems, as appropriate performance indicators of student research and the formation of the investigative skills.
