Description	USBr Company, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, is responsible for the design, integration, manufacture, and refurbishment of the nonmotor components of the solid rocket boosters for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Marshall Space Flight Center space shuttle program. USBI designed and operates the NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center's 44-acre Shuttle Booster Assembly and Refurbishment Facility at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This facility processes shuttle booster components with time-saving, cost-effective methods. USBr designed, developed, and installed the software and hardware for the shuttle's Automatic Booster Assembly Checkout System. The company has developed a wide variety of specialized ground support equipment and new methods to reduce corrosion. USBr also developed effective support systems to manage the 5000 components used for each flight in assembly, 3000 of which are refurbished after each flight and reused.
