| Abstract | Les résultats des descendants d’immigrés sont souvent considérés comme le plus important marqueur de la réussite du processus d’intégration. En effet, les descendants d’immigrés, parce qu’ils ont été scolarisés dans le pays d’accueil de leurs parents, ne devraient pas a priori rencontrer les mêmes difficultés que les immigrés entrés à l’âge adulte en tant que travailleur, époux, partenaire ou autre membre adulte de la famille, ou en tant que migrant humanitaire par exemple. Leurs résultats devraient être sensiblement les mêmes que ceux des jeunes non issus de l’immigration et présentant les mêmes profils sociaux et démographiques. Pourtant, ce n’est pas ce qui est observé dans de nombreux pays d’accueil, en particulier en Europe.Le chapitre commence par examiner quelques indicateurs démographiques ainsi que des caractéristiques spécifiques qui permettent de situer les jeunes d’origine immigrée (). Il analyse ensuite l’intégration scolaire des enfants d’immigrés (). Puis le chapitre évalue le niveau d’éducation () et les compétences en littératie des jeunes adultes d’origine immigrée (), et examine la part des jeunes ayant quitté prématurément le système scolaire (). La transition de l’école vers le marché du travail () ainsi que la part de ceux qui ne sont ni en emploi, ni scolarisés, ni en formation () sont ensuite examinées avant d’aborder l’intégration sur le marché du travail (). Un dernier volet du chapitre aborde les aspects de l’inclusion sociale et de l’engagement civique : pauvreté touchant les enfants (), participation aux élections () et enfin discrimination perçue (). |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
