Abstract	Ce chapitre examine les évolutions de la distribution nationale des revenus lorsqu’on y intègre la valeur des services assurés par les pouvoirs publics dans le revenu disponible des ménages. Il s’intéresse à cinq types de services publics, qu’il commence par passer en revue et définir. Il fournit une estimation de l’effet d’accroissement du revenu des ménages que recèlent les prestations en nature fournies par les services publics. Il examine ensuite les résultats empiriques des effets redistributifs globaux de ces services. Il répète cette opération pour chacun des cinq grands services. Enfin, avant de tirer des conclusions, il cherche à savoir si l’effet redistributif des services a évolué entre le début et la fin des années 2000, et en quoi.
