Abstract	This paper presents a remote monitoring system based on life supplying line which monitors the elder people who live alone at home. It obtains the usage and the trend of the life supplying line through checking the using of water, electricity and gas. A model of the changing amount of the elderly's activities can be built with the inferential arithmetic and the accumulated data. And based on this model, the health and security status can be predicted and abnormality can be inferred. Then quantizationize these inferring results and offer the corresponding aid according to the results. In this way can the remote monitoring system of the elder people living alone
