| Abstract | The rapid growth of the Internet and networking infrastructures within organization has provided Gigabit Ethernet network with the opportunity to be utilized for the control of various facilities. High-speed Gigabit Ethernet networks for industrial automation systems promise standardized internetworking between completely different devices without connection and conversion difficulties. The different industrial environment for field and office level has given rise to delay issues. In particular, the fact that the congestion is often accompanied by the discordant data flow is important with respect to the stability of closed-loop congestion control. Due to the peculiarity of CSMA-CD in Gigbit Ethernet networks, it is hard to obtain any sound mathematical formulation for congestion control without employing random processes or fluid-flow models. In this paper, an analytical method for the design of a Smith's principle to overcome instability accompanied with the increase of end-to-end delay as well as to avoid cell losses. Moreover, the method for computing delay margins are used for discriminating stability for a given interval end-to-end delay of Gigabit Ethernet networks. To this end, mathematical analysis is provided by such that the proposed control scheme guaranteed the performance improvement with respect to bandwidth and latency for selected network links different propagation delay. Finally, the proposed control is to be illustrated by a simulation study. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
