Abstract | Boost converters are widely used in the low-to-high DC/DC application and power-factor-corrected circuits. Based on the interleaved boost converter with coupled inductors, a converter consisting of four interleaved boost converter cells is proposed in this paper. The boost converter cells can share the input current, so this prototype circuit can be designed to have small input current ripple. And when using this method, output voltage ripple can also be reduced. The operating principle is presented. The steady state performance of the boost converter is investigation by a saber simulation. A 2.5kW boost converter with four interleaved boost convert cells has been realized and successfully tested in the laboratory. The comparison with the interleaved boost converters with coupled inductors is also given. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
